If you’ve been reading this for a while, you’ve watched us pivot about a million times this year. Fear of commitment? Too many opportunities with AI? Can’t stop starting things? The answer is yes, to all of them.

Over the past year we built agents for clients, made technology for nonprofits, consulted for small businesses, launched Padel Browser, and started more side projects than we’d like to admit. Depending on when you found us, we’re either “the AI consulting people” or “the Padel Browser people.”

Which is funny, because one of our favorite phrases is “do less.” It doesn’t mean being lazy. It means more isn’t always more, and sometimes the best thing you can do is pick one thing and go all in.

So this week, we’re finally taking that advice.

When we really thought about what we care about, the answer had nothing to do with AI. It was being around people. Playing sports, competing, being outside. We both have a very different relationship with racquet sports, but we each feel this deeply when we step onto a padel or tennis court.

We’re all chronically online. We want to build tech that does the opposite. Our products don’t optimize for screen time. They’re built to get you from “I want to play” to actually being on the court as fast as possible.

Right now that means two things:

  1. Padel Browser helps players find courts. It’s the official club directory of USA Padel, and we’ve loved watching padel fanatics sign up over the past few months. Our goal is to take the initial traction we’ve found and build upon it.

  2. The Unprompted Phone helps clubs fill those courts. It knows a club’s members, finds the right players for each program and reaches out to each one personally, so staff aren’t stuck texting people one by one or chasing replies in a WhatsApp group.

Put simply: Unprompted builds technology that connects people in real life.

We just launched a new site that pulls it all together: unprompted.tech

We will keep sharing updates about our progress and learnings along the way. Thank you for being along for the ride, through every version of us.

And if you know someone who runs a racquet club (padel, tennis, pickleball, anything), we’d love an intro. Just hit reply.

Stay curious,
Julia & Russell
